Cruse Bereavement Care

Working with grief and bereavement

Cruse Bereavement Care is the leading national charity for bereaved people. They provide support, advice and information to people when someone dies. Cruse also provide training and consultancy for external organisations and for those who encounter bereaved people in the course of their work.

We worked with Cruse to design and develop a solution that uses a responsive framework allowing users to access the module when and where they need it.

The module provides emergency personnel with the tools and resources they need to be able to better look after themselves, colleagues and others when confronted with distressing events, particularly when this may potentially be combined with personal bereavement.

Module topics included:

•  How bereavement and grief affect individuals
•  Dealing with loss
•  Grief emergency professionals are more susceptible to, including:
•  Disenfranchised grief
•  PTSD
•  Compassion fatigue
•  Burnout
•  Practice scenarios
•  Self-care
