Client: Brandon Trust

The Objective

The Brandon Trust asked us to deliver a short Articulate Storyline course for two members of their Learning and Development team. Although delegates had a good working knowledge of other authoring tools they had not used Storyline. The main aim was give them an overview of the tools capabilities and familiarise them with the interface to allow them to develop courses in-house.

Their specific objectives from the course were to:

  • Understand the structure of the tool – how it works, how to separate modules etc.
  • Create a small elearning course from start to finish throughout the course to use as a “reminder”.
  • Be able to setup quizzes.
  • Apply voiceover to courses.
The Solution

We discussed their specific needs with them prior to the training to ensure that the course was personalised to their individual requirements.  Due to limited availability we tailored the course to just half a day by focusing on their particular needs.  Our focus was giving their delegates the confidence and skills to create interactive and engaging resources .

Following the course we have provided ad-hoc troubleshooting support on design and development issues.  We have also completed a half day one to one session to support their QA on a module prior to launch.  This included some simple but effective changes we completed with Brandon Trust to support them in future.

The Impact

The training and support given by Little Man Project was perfect for our needs at the time. As a novice to Articulate Storyline I really appreciated the 1:1 support and the fact that we used a real life project to work on so I was instantly able to put my learning into practice.

After the initial training I found I was able to get on with the work straightaway, knowing that I could ask for help if I needed it, and was very quickly able to create interesting and engaging content for our e learning.

Having a bespoke session with Gill also contributed to how much my confidence has increased with using the product, she also gave me some really positive feedback and encouragement on the work I had produced spurring me on to learn more and more!

I am now much quicker at producing e learning having understood the workings of articulate and how to apply voice over in much more detail thanks to Little Man Project.

I never thought I could get so excited about an authoring tool, but I love working with Articulate Storyline and thanks to Little Man Project I can see the potential it has to make e learning exciting, engaging and, of course, a great way to learn.
